Residencial Socrates - is located in Cariati Marina, one of the most beautiful towns on the Ionian Coast, a lovely marina with crystal clear waters, stunning views and a blissfully quiet ambience. Like many Calabrian towns and villages, Cariati is a resort centre for northern Italians during the summer months. The marina offers a 6 mile sea wall, dotted by cafes, bars and shops. Today Cariati owes its fame to the environmental resources of the Ionian coast which has become popular with both Italian and European tourists. The old town of Cariati is well worth a visitor's time and offers stunning views of the entire coastal area in front and olive groves to the rear. The cathedral, whose tiled cupola can be seen from the marina, has an impressive interior and contains 18th century choir stalls by Girolamo Franceschi. In the old town you can make a circuit of the old city walls and bastions, into which houses have been built, and duck into the numerous churches within the walls for a few moments of cool solace.

The residencial is located a short walk from the fabulous beaches where you can relax in the sun or enjoy various waters sports in its pristine waters. If your preference is golf, the golf course at Cropani can be reached by car in just over an hour's drive.
